Airwaves

I'll be joining the university radio very very soon. With a weekly late night slot.

I'm aiming for an undiluted mix of sound, preferably from more unusual artists and underground names, veering away from so called 'mainstream' idols and auto-tuned berks with microphones.

Will be crashing from genre to genre - anything from ambient, post-industrial, electro, psychedelic, jazz and dub , post-rock, old style hip hop and IDM.

I'll also be very willing to accept submissions from artists and musicians if they fancy gaining some air time.

Liberation from pixel clutter

Alas the system crash on the monstrosity of the thing i call my computer has only further pushed me into the realms of creativity.
Many files have fallen into that unreachable bastard dimension where all the bits and bytes presumably go when malicious malware and misguided malware protectors fling them with abandon, to set the scene of a feverishly hot day of 'from-scratch' PC repair.

Usually the job is duly volunteered to a number of friends, but i find myself geographically distant from my would-be-rescuers, but thirteen hours of sweat and curses later and the fucker was fixed.

Pride aside, the files that didn't make it back from digital purgatory are not missed, half-finished tracks and scribbled notes and jottings and sketches for film scenes or lyrics and half ideas that i would never come back to.

The best ones are still in my mind.
